Summary

The R&D Line Technician (aka Machine Operator) is responsible for processing pilot line manufacturing trials in a safe and timely manner with extremely high quality in additional to reviewing trail requests for accuracy and documenting all results of each trial.

Required Skills

  • Reviews trial request for accuracy, offers suggestions of modifications where needed.

  • Documents all trial request results.

  • Identified potential equipment needs and maintains pilot line equipment as necessary, including power industrial vehicles.

  • Receives incoming materials, ships outgoing samples and pallets, and maintains inventory control.

  • Participates in all safety related training activities including Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS) review and tracking documentation.

Required Experience

Qualified candidates will have at a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience operation and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the packaging converting industry to include printing presses, laminators, die cutters/sheeters, folder/gluers. Qualified candidates must be comfortable interacting with both internal/external customers.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work safely and effectively on and around large manufacturing equipment and in a chemical environment.

Pay Range: $44,220.00 - $55,220.00
