Entry Level position . 3-2-2-3 shift. Night Shift 7p-7a Every other weekend off!

POSITION: AERATOR

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the cutting department by providing raw materials and/or work in process as required by specific production jobs.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Replace wooden pallet with plastic pallet and aerate loads prior to printing, based on production schedule.

  • Re-aerate loads at pressman’s request.

  • Return special skids to the appropriate department.

  • Communicate required information to co-workers and manager.

  • Assist helper when required.

  • Occasionally perform preventative maintenance on equipment and be able to diagnose, trouble shoot equipment by early detection and sound of machine while in operation.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Complies with all company and department safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures.

  • Ensures total quality of the job while in operation, performs quality checks and accurate documentation.

  • Maintains the machine and area in accordance with the standard operation procedures.

  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read basic measurement tools and ability to read and follow proper work instructions.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and follow instructions.

  • Ability to operate a pallet jack to move material.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to frequently lift or carry 10 to 25 pounds and handle a pallet weighing 40-52 pounds.

  • Ability to regularly stand and use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off.

  • Must be flexible; able to work other shifts, overtime and weekends when needed.

Preferred Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred

  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment
